In our rivers the EEL FISHING is practiseded from April to October. We capture the Eel mainly with Eel-traps, fishhooks or with tridents. We fish in France every year for nearby 1000 tonnes of eels. The professional French fishermen and the amateurs "PRO" use almost exclusively the Eel trap of the type: "LA GARONNAISE". It is a plastic Eel trap with regular meshing of 3/8" sq. around a skeleton in galvanized wire, possessing two entries, one after the other one
